Volunteers Needed For Tree Planting In Chester-Ridley-Crum Watershed Sept. 27

Volunteers are needed to assist with a tree planting at Lewis H. Fisher Memorial Park in Aston, Pa on September 27 from 9 a.m. to Noon.
The Chester-Ridley-Crum Watersheds Association and Aston Township are organizing the event to increase tree cover along the Chester Creek in Chester County.
Using funding from a TreeVitalize grant, this project will add nearly 80 native trees and shrubs to this popular streamside park. Streamside forests protect water quality by stabilizing banks and filtering pollutants before they reach the stream.
Pre-registration is requested for volunteers. You may also pre-register by calling CRC at 610-359-1440 or emailing info@crcwatersheds.org.
